Mellifera is the Latin word for, “Honey bearing” or “Bringing sweet things to life". It is borrowed from the Roman queen of honey bees, the goddess Mellona, who inspired terms of endearment like, "honey" and "sweetie", from the Latin eponym, Melleus.

As a company, Mellifera is built around the idea of bringing the past and future together, to live in the moment and enjoy the simple things of life. We want our customers to experience the value of taking a moment to pause in this fast-paced world, and improve their quality of life; to turn simple everyday things into moments of renewal.

Mellifera.com was established in 2022, and developed into the concept of a comfort drink shop that improves the physical and mental health of our customers. Our vision took shape after seeing the effects of a world-wide pandemic in a technological age and the unique needs that developed. We are excited to offer a wide selection of the finest products available, proudly representing our distributers and their farmers, highly skilled artists, and precision manufacturers.

In addition to offering fine organic comfort drinks and handmade accessories, we stock all of our products in a climate controlled warehouse designed with organization in mind, to optimize efficiency and keep products clean. We strive to maintain a generous stock of your favorite comfort drinks so they are always available, and we carefully package orders as they are received, using earth-friendly, sustainable materials.

Mellifera LLC is a Rhode Island based company operated by Paris Kennings, who began her career in law as a paralegal with her sight set on the bar. She is the visionary behind Mellifera, who helped transform the company into what it is today. Her role in the team is vital to the growth and development of what she feels is greatly needed in our fast-paced society. At leisure, she enjoys traveling, collecting antiquarian books, and appreciating the simple things in life.
