Mellifera is the Latin word for, “Honey bearing” or “Bringing sweet things to life". It is borrowed from the Roman queen of honey bees, the goddess Mellona, who inspired terms of endearment like, "honey" and "sweetie", from the Latin eponym, Melleus.
As a company, Mellifera is built around the idea of bringing the past and future together, to live in the moment and enjoy the simple things of life. We want our customers to experience the value of taking a moment to pause in this fast-paced world, and improve their quality of life; to turn the pleasure of a comfort drink into a meaningful moment of restoration and renewal.
Mellifera.com was established in 2022, and developed into the concept of an online comfort drink shop that improves the physical and mental wellness of our customers. The vision for Mellifera took place a decade ago during a walk through the founder's orchard, as he mused on how to better harness the power of nature; a vision that was reinforced after seeing the effects of a world-wide pandemic in a post-industrial age. Today we are excited to offer a refined selection of the most effective organic drink products available, proudly representing our farmers and distributers.
In addition to offering fine organic comfort drinks and handmade accessories, we stock all of our products in a climate controlled warehouse designed with organization in mind, to optimize efficiency and keep products fresh and clean. We strive to maintain a generous stock of your favorite organic comfort drinks so they are always available, carefully packaging and shipping orders as they are received, using earth-friendly sustainable materials.
Mellifera LLC is a Rhode Island based company that began as a personal wellness journey of holistic cleansing and healing through a clean organic diet. This eventually led to the comfort drink arena where we explored organic tea, organic coffee, and organic cacao, finding the purest and most potent products on the market that benefit both body and soul. Life is a learning process that is always in development and we want to share the benefits of our journey; our passion is to pass it forward to you.
At Mellifera, we are equally committed to doing our part to make the world a better place.
