Japanese tea growers call this tea, JIN, which means, "Virtue of Relation", or the gentle force of virtue by association. It is premium grade white tea made from gyokuro leaves and leaf stems, organically grown by tea master Irie Toshiro in the Yame mountains. JIN tea is an beautiful expression of the harmony that can exist between two things that are uniquely different but connected by virtue of relation.
The white stems (white gold) which give this tea its name, present a beautiful contrast to the deep green of gyokuro leaves. Properly steeped, it exhibits notes of clover sprouts, honeydew, and bee pollen. It is rich in umami, naturally low in caffeine, and high in amino acids and theanine, which make it ideal for reducing stress and increasing mental clarity. JIN organic white tea is thoughtfully presented in a generous fold of handmade Japanese washi paper, flecked in gold and silver.
Irie Toshiro is a pioneer of organic tea farming in Japan, dedicating over 35 years to cultivating chemical-free green tea in the mountains of Yame. Inspired by his own story of industrial illness and recovery through pure green tea, he established his own farm isolated in the village of the Kuroki, ensuring pure, uncontaminated soil and a thriving natural ecosystem.
