In Incan mythology, Pachamama is the Earth Mother embodied in soaring mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, and a vibrant ecology. Organic Machu Picchu coffee is her natural signature, organically grown at 6800 ft in the "cloud forest" of the eastern Andes, only six kilometers from the historic site. Thoughtfully prepared in a Vienna roast to capture the high-jungle essence of the Cusco region; a location praised for producing artisanal coffee beans with notes of tropical fruit and cinnamon.

Native Incan growers work in tandem with craft-level roasters to bring you this captivating brew, commonly enjoyed as a wake-up cup or paired with a fruity pastry. Click on the "Preparation" tab to see our French press recipes and tasting notes.

COCLA is a farmer-owned co-op founded in 1967 and headquartered in Quillabamba, Peru. They oversee coffee production in the regions of Vilcabamba, Ocobamba, Huayopata, Santa Ana, Echarate, and Santa Teresa, with 3,500 farmer groups, 40% of whom are women, providing necessary resources and facilitating fair wages for farmers and their families.

High quality organic coffee has a diverse flavor profile which is effected in the brewing process by the type of bean, type of roast, amount of beans, type of grinder, grind fineness, type of water, water temperature, brewing method, and brew time. We recommend reducing these variables by using our Eureka Libra grinder, Summit Spring water, and Frieling French Press.
