A finely crafted gyokurowan in the imperial bloom shape with a modern gradient-style glazing. Handmade by fourth-generation potter, Maekawa Junzō of the Kenzan Kiln. Junzō-san is one of Tokoname’s younger generation artisans, bringing technical precision and creative intuition to this traditional art form.

Handmade Japanese tea wares are referred to as Kogei in Japan; the concept that beauty resides in the artisan’s work through nuances, wabi-sabi (irregularities), and defining differences between each piece.
