Japanese tea growers call this tea, KOHANA, which means, "Blossom of Simplicity" a colorful way of describing the value all things bring to life by simply being what they are. KOHANA is high-grade tamaryokucha green tea with sun-dried yuzu citrus peel, both organically grown by Takahashi Yuzo on his tea farm in Oita, Japan. It is a relaxing and revitalizing blend of two naturally beneficial things dwelling in harmony. Considered by the locals to be a preventative medicine, KOHANA tea is soothing enough to be enjoyed anytime day or night.

Takahashi green tea became the first farm in Oita, Japan to earn a JAS organic certification. The farm is run by second-generation producer Takahashi Yuzo, specializing in tamaryokucha; a jade-colored green tea similar to sencha but distinguished by its curled leaves and a final drying stage of rotating in hot-air drums. Takahashi cultivates seven tea varietals, continuing his family’s legacy of organic standards and the meticulous preparation of fine Japanese teas.
