Organic Sicilian Penne
Bronze-cut penne made in Sicily from organically grown Sicilian Perciasacchi and Russello wheat
About this product
Bona Furtuna presents organic penne made of heirloom Sicilian grains and extruded through bronze dies to achieve the classic “al dente” that helps sauce cling to the pasta. It offers a touch of sweetness, hints of herbs, and cinnamon. Serve it with a robust meat and cheese sauce, or toss it into cold pasta salads.
The penne shape originated in Campania made with ancient wheat grains from Sicily known as the “Granary of Rome”. Bona Furtuna makes its organic pastas in collaboration with master pasta makers in Sicily, including a pasta maker with over 100 years of experience.
