About this product

Japanese tea growers call this tea, KOHEI, which means, "Balanced Character" referring to the four virtues of tea. KOHEI is high-grade green tea, organically grown by Takahashi Yuzo and his mother in Oita, Japan. It is a blend of four cultivars, pan-fired and tumbled in hot drums to express higher levels of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), an essential amino acid known to help reduce stress and promote wellbeing.

KOHEI organic green tea presents with a pale, golden color, and soothes the palate with notes of sweet pea, rose hips, and manuka honey. It is packaged in a charming presentation that depicts Takahashi and his mother in sumi-sketch, honoring their commitment to family and the creation of fine organic green tea.
