So what goes on behind the scenes at Mellifera? How do we operate and what makes our world go around? The answers may not be what you’re expecting.
Mellifera currently has 7 talented individuals on staff and an amazing support team of collaborators and investors. Our product acquisition team travels around the world to source new products, testing and vetting each one to determine if it meets our standards, our web development & IT team keep ahead of the curve to bringing you a great shopping experience, and our warehousing & shipping team keep products in stock, organized, and ready to ship.
Our most recent stop
Europe, where we sourced the very best organic Dijon and vinegar we can find (coming soon!). We go far beyond the label so you can buy with confidence, to ensure only the best organic products are used with stainless processing equipment, and most importantly, the farmers and producers we represent are passionate about making great products safe, healthy and delicious.
On the design side
Our design team is making sure you can actually read the labels on our products. This is such an important part of the buying process that we established an in-house photography studio. On the editorial side, we are bringing you original content that is not AI generated, so you can read thoughtful content and connect with real people.
At the leading edge of development, our in-house web architects are always looking for new and exciting ways to improve your shopping experience. The latest addition to our site is a product map that helps you visualize where products come from. It is designed to create a connection between you and the farmers & makers. Our Facility
Our Rhode Island facility is designed with you in mind. To accelerate shipping turnaround times we upgraded our warehouse to incorporate clear storage drawers that make every product immediately available and ready to ship; the bins also keep products clean and separated for allergy sensitive customers. Our facility is climate controlled, and warehouses everything we carry; we do not drop-ship or warehouse remotely, and we only sell through our website to ensure direct connection between you and our producers.
